25 - Ankerside Shopping Centre

Walk up the stairs to the right of the flower beds. On the 9th August 1980, Tamworth's one and only 'new romantic' electro-pop band Those Attractive Magnets entertained the shoppers in the Ankerside Shopping Centre. Supported by the Buttercup Roadshow, the band, then just a duo comprising Rikk Quay and Andy Baldwin, were raising money for local charities.
