26 - Sir Robert Peel

Exit the Castle Grounds over the bridge by the Castle Gate House. For the Tamworth Rock Festival of 1986, Tamworth's most famous political character Sir Robert Peel appeared on the official festival t-shirts. With the addition of mohawk haircut and shades, the founder of the modern-day police force helped to make this festival one of the most successful of all time. Walk down Market Street towards Holloway and turn right through the narrow King Street onto Church Street.
